This was a bathroom designed for two teenagers. They wanted ease of use, something fun and funky, that works. I needed to work with pre-existing black aluminium window frames, so hence the addition of black tapware. To provide texture to the space, I designed the custom-made vanity and added fluting to the panels. To create a “beachy” but not cliched feel, I used a gorgeous Terrazzo bench top by Vulcano tiles, here in Sydney, Australia.

To add some texture to the walls I used a mosaic wall tile were via Surface Gallery in Stanmore in Sydney’s inner West,,. To link the overall feel with the rest of the house I used timber look ceramic tiles via Beaumont Tiles, to create a warm and fuzzy feel. I simply loved creating this project. Made all the easier by having amazing clients.

A melding of Old and on-trend…

Some clients become life long friends. These clients in particular, Charles and Gwen have been part of my life for the last 28 years.

Having worked on several projects in two homes., Cahlres and Gwen are always open to bending the rules and are always happy for me to push their design boundaries .. I love working with these energetic, exceptional people ..both in their eighties, they make me feel old!

They wanted to keep their well used but beautifully care for “Grange” cherry wood furniture. So me being a reuse and repurpose gal was so happy to embrace these pieces.

Gwen is a mad succulent and plant enthusiast. So paying homage to her hobby I painted the walls in a stunning green “ NICKS NOOK” by DULUX , and chose a botanically themed fabric for oversized EURO cushions.. with a new bespoke throwover coverlet .. new lampshades to top the existing crystal bedside lamps.. re framing of an old favourite piece of rt I was able to add some funky interest to the space.

Selecting a Designer Boys oversized canvas for their eastern wall teamed with HJ furnitures “WHISPER CHAIR” and covered it in a stunning green velvet by James Dunlops .. “VELLUTI”

We needed a small side table so I specified a cutie by HORGANS “ RICCO” side table topped with a stunning AERIN “CLARKSON” table lamp.. designed By Aerin Lauder Este Lauders grand daughter..

They thankfully adore this room and I’ve adored working with these amazing octogenarians

I was hired by architects Dom Bennett from Bennett Murada architects to help with styling and furnishing this stunning iconic Bronte home.

Situated with stunning views of the ocean views, care had to be taken as to not “over design” and to keep the furnishings “quiet” to allow that stunning view and architecture to shine.

Our client is a young CEO so my design ethos for the decoration had to be youthful but classic.
